Mustangs dedicate memorial at Ron Schaper Field
Coaches, players and fans gathered to dedicate a memorial in Ron "Papa" Schaper's memory on Saturday, August 21st. The memorial was funded by the Palos Stars program, which has been a long time program friend of the Mustangs and Ron. Coaches wore ties in Ron's honor during each game, as this is how Ron's first coaching staff dressed each game during the inaugural season of the New Lenox Mustangs, 45 years ago. The family would again like to thank everyone's support.
